What’s In The Name?

With so many new people learning about this ministry, we think it beneficial to explain the origin of our name, Bill Rudge Ministries of Living Truth, Inc.

BILL RUDGE Initially, Bill opposed the idea of his name being included in that of the ministry’s until the Lord gave specific direction on that point. This ministry is not Bill’s, but the Lord’s. And it is enabled by the numerous individuals who assist in making this ministry so effective. Our staff, volunteers and other supporters help Bill to fulfill the vision and goals that the Lord has given him.

We now see the wisdom in this. It is increasingly difficult to distinguish a solid biblical ministry from an “extreme” or pseudo Christian group. But, as Bill’s reputation has developed as a speaker and author who boldly defends Biblical Christianity, credibility has been added to the ministry.

Originally, Bill’s birth certificate read “Dale Eugene Rudge”. This was changed by his mother to William (Bill) John. “Bill” means “bold protector” or “determined guardian.” How appropriate that Bill is known for being a “bold protector” and “determined guardian” of the “faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).

MINISTRIES is what we are all about. We are a growing international outreach ministry sharing the Gospel with a searching world and challenging believers to reach their maximum potential in Christ. This multi-faceted ministry touches the lives of thousands of youth and adults locally, nationally and globally (Acts 1:8).

LIVING TRUTH Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Jesus Christ is the LIVING TRUTH!

INCORPORATED We were incorporated August 8, 1977, as a religious and educational non-profit organization.
