Biblical Meditation

I have found that meditating upon God’s Word has been an effective way to keep my life focused on doing His will and not my own.

What do I mean when I say that we should meditate upon God’s Word? Let me first explain what I do not mean. It is not emptying your mind, trying to attain an altered state of consciousness. Rather, it is filling your mind with God’s Word where you study, reflect, and apply what it says to every area of your life.

Just as our bodies need physical food to survive, God’s Word is spiritual food for our soul. The Bible provides us with proper direction (it tells us why we are here and where we are going), proper doctrine (it tells us what we need to know), proper discernment (it tells us how we can know right from wrong), and proper discipline (it tells us how we are to live). – BJ Rudge

Accuracy vs. Relevance

Bill Rudge

Instead of trying to be relevant, make it your priority to accurately proclaim God’s Word. Then you will be both accurate and relevant!

The Church today desperately needs leaders who daily delve into the Bible and spend time in prayer so God’s Spirit can breathe spiritual insight into them. They, in turn, can nourish hungry souls. The Body of Christ thirsts for those who proclaim the pure Word of God under the anointing of His Spirit.

May the priority of every pastor, Christian leader and believer in Christ be to seek out, live out and speak out the incredible treasures and wisdom of God’s Word!

The Schemes of Satan

by BJ Rudge, Ph.D.

A survey revealed that over half of those who watched the Super Bowl did so for the commercials. Advertisers are aware of this and are willing to pay millions of dollars for a 30-second spot. The persuasive power behind these commercials is in the images they portray for the manipulation of your mind into thinking you need their products.

Does this scheme sound familiar? It should, because Satan used this technique in the Garden to seduce Eve. Once he got her to question what God said (“Has God indeed said…” – Genesis 3:1) she was vulnerable to Satan’s lies. She saw the tree was pleasant to the eyes and desirable to make one wise so she gave in to her fleshly desires and ate of its fruit and gave some to her husband (Genesis 3:6).

Just like Adam and Eve, many people today fall prey to Satan’s deceptive ways. They allow their minds to be flooded with images that question whether God really knows what is best for them. If you want to avoid being another victim of Satan’s schemes, heed the advice of the apostle Paul:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

How do you renew your mind? By studying, reflecting, and applying God’s Word. When you do this you can stand victorious before the schemes of Satan because you know exactly what God has indeed said.

IMAGES in the MIND

by Bill Rudge

Everyone has terrifying dreams and frightening thoughts – even King Nebuchadnezzar said, “I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me” (Daniel 4:5). Living in the digital age exposes today’s generation to many undesirable images in our minds from an endless stream of sites and visuals. Feeling lonely or alienated from family and friends, needing to escape the drama of social media, being overwhelmed with the pressures of life, all escort multitudes daily into a cyber-world of movies, games, and virtual reality.

Gruesome Violence

Many people from their youth spend a lifetime filling their minds with frightening and disturbing images: graphic visuals of violent crimes, explosions, shootings, beatings, blood splattered people and walls, people being hunted down, tormented, tortured, maimed, raped, and murdered by crazed killers, wild beasts, monsters, vampires, wolf-men, flesh eating zombies, alien space creatures, and demonic-like beings, to list only a few.

Every imaginable weapon and technique are used to inflict pain, kill, and mutilate. Scenes of terror such as vehicles and buildings being blown apart, horrific car crashes, pools of blood, people dangling over cliffs, trapped in tunnels or graves, or submerged under water are proliferating.

Added to the amazing special effects of blood and gore are terrifying sounds and intense music. These vivid sights and sounds implanted in our minds can (and will if not immediately, then later in life) adversely affect our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

The Fear Factor

Young people and adults love to be scared, especially if they think they are safe. Viewing scary movies can be a badge of courage, so to speak. The scenes and sounds provide a kind of euphoric adrenaline rush from controlled terror in the security of being surrounded by friends in a movie theater or home. But what tantalizes the emotions in secure environments can result in traumatic flashbacks, memories, and nightmares when companionless or in vulnerable circumstances.

Many youth and adults have told me of frightening images, terrifying apparitions, horrific sounds, oppressive thoughts, unseen presences in their rooms, paralyzing sensations of being touched, premonitions of doom while alone in their bedrooms at night.

Young children recount being scared in the dark after watching a terrifying movie, a barrage of eerie visuals and words seared into their impressionable minds. Is it any wonder they are troubled by fear and nightmares?

Some youth and adults have lain in bed in the “twilight zone” state between sleep and full consciousness, or been awakened from a dream with their hearts beating rapidly because of images in their minds, voices or sounds in their heads, or from the sensation of being touched by a person or entity in their rooms. Random involuntary images and words can invade the mind and disturb sleep like unwelcome intruders in one’s house.

A diet of violent entertainment can have similar effects to the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) of soldiers returning from war zones or persons having experienced a traumatic event. Even though most adults and teens claim to be able to handle the images, sounds, and emotions resulting from movies, many are experiencing prolonged negative stress, bouts of chronic anxiety, panic attacks, depression, confusion, and nervousness.

Parents Beware!

Besides the violence, there are other unfavorable elements. Consider the occultism, sorcery, mysticism; scantily clad or naked people, sexual encounters, lies and deceit portrayed in a positive way; crude, obscene, and profane language, and you get a glimpse of today’s mental diet through the media!

The tolerance and acceptance of this is reflective of how far we have drifted as a nation and the lukewarmness of many Christians. God’s commands against sorcery, vulgarity, taking His name in vain, and licentiousness are completely ignored. No wonder so many young people are disrespectful, desensitized to violence, influenced by atheism, have an interest in the occult, and are sexually active. Many parents helped nurture this by neglecting Bible study in their homes and not placing responsible restrictions on their children.

Parents who purposely, or unknowingly, permit their young children and teens to be tainted and seduced by unrestricted media will one day reap the undesired harvest of rebellion and heartbreak. Not to mention the potential victimization by predators that everyone faces today.

I know it is a real struggle for parents (especially single parents) but you must rise to the challenge of providing wholesome entertainment and recreation for your children. Joy Lucius writes about the difficulty of doing so back in 2012:

[S]earch for a book or magazine without profanity, vulgarity, explicit sexuality, new-age propaganda or demonic influences. Decent choices are limited – almost non-existent. The same scenario often plays out when parents shop with children for movies, games, music and toys. The retail world is a culture war zone, constantly attacking the minds and souls of our youngest, most vulnerable citizens. The same culture war constantly rages on the screens of American television, as well. Surf the channels for a family-friendly show to watch with young girls or teens. Violence, nudity, promiscuity in its wildest form, and every deviant lifestyle conceivable can be viewed on almost any given night on most mainstream media channels.

“Be careful little eyes …”

God gave you beautiful children with talents and abilities to be used for His glory. When they are repeatedly exposed to philosophies and worldviews that are contrary to His, it becomes increasingly confusing for them. The only way to resolve the dilemma is for their minds and hearts to be molded by God’s Word so biblical truth and principles are the foundation of their lives. Then they will be able to discern truth from error and not be deceived by distorted, perverted, or counterfeit beliefs.

Melissa Henson states in an article titled “Be careful little eyes what you see” (afaJournal, September 2021):

We know that what kids see influences behavior, and there are decades of research to support this. Kids exposed to more violent content tend to become more violent. Kids exposed to more sexual content become sexually active at a younger age and have more sexual partners over their lifetime. The advertising industry is premised on the idea that seeing an ad can influence consumer behavior.

Alarming Trends in Movies

Reviews of contemporary movies reveal that many are laced with vulgar, obscene and sexually explicit language, sensationalized occultism, sorcery, demonic entities and satanic powers. They display a plethora of suggestive and seductive sexual behaviors and pornographic images that mock, pervert and profane sacred things, and seek to attract viewers with unceasing violence. All of these are descriptive of the end times generation, many of whom according to Scripture will refuse to repent of their evil.

When I spoke in Trinidad in 1989, the people in the villages were uninfluenced by the secular media. But when I returned 12 years later (one week before 9/11), things had changed drastically. I went to a large shopping mall and was amazed to see hundreds of young people with body piercings and tattoos – dressed like prostitutes and gang members. I asked my host, “Was this here before? Did I miss it?” I was told it only came in the last five years, because now they have cable TV; America’s movies and music completely changed a whole generation of the youth of Trinidad in a short span of time.

Speaking to young people and adults a few years ago at Manhattan Beach (near Los Angeles) I told them that there is virtually nothing in Hollywood but death, destruction, and a dead end. Romans 1:28-32 gives an amazingly accurate overview of what is often being spewed out of Hollywood:

God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; … they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

The day approaches when God’s tolerance of the wickedness corrupting this earth will finally cease. God will intervene in the world scene to judge sin and rebellion by bringing people to their knees – either in repentance or judgment. He is calling to His people:

Come out of her [spiritual Babylon which represents rebellion, immorality, sorcery, and false religion] My people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues (Revelation 18:4).

Your Soul Is the Prize

Eons ago Satan rebelled against the Creator. In his rebellion, your eternal soul is the prize he seeks. His goal is to distance you from a pure, holy, and intimate relationship with the One who paid the price to redeem you. Choices made concerning your mental diet play a crucial part in determining who you are and what your destiny will be. So choose wisely! Your attitude, beliefs, worldview, and lifestyle are undeniably influenced by the clear or underlying philosophies conveyed in the movies, television programs, and commercials you watch, the music you listen to, the video games you play, and the Internet sites you visit.

Let me ask you a few questions: If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, why would you want to be entertained by words, images, and behavior that dishonor Him and are inspired by an enemy who opposes God and seeks to destroy His followers? Why participate in that which reflects a philosophy contrary to virtually everything God designed and desires for His creation? Why allow movies and programs in your home which plant wrong images in your mind, lust in your heart, and lead to compromise and harmful consequences? Why degenerate into corrupt cultural morals when you can live victoriously by biblical standards through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit?

It would be in wisdom for you and your children to adhere to the inspired words of the Apostle Paul:

Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about [dwell on] these things (Philippians 4:8).

Replace the negative, fearful, and immoral images in the media today by discontinuing corrupt movies, disconnecting from unprofitable social media, and limiting Internet usage. It’s okay to be informed by the news but not consumed by it; that is a waste of time and energy, and may lead to unnecessary anxiety. Fill your life with positive alternatives and renew your mind by studying the unsurpassed wisdom and wonder of God’s Word. The following promise awaits:

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed [steadfast] on You, because he trusts in You (Isaiah 26:3).

The person whose mind is “stayed” on the Internet, social media, movies, the news, television programs, talk radio, or video games will be frequently stressed and depressed. The person whose mind is stayed on the Lord will have inner peace – even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Wisdom for an 18 Year Old… and All of Us, part one

Recently Bill and BJ Rudge were requested by a father to each send a letter to his son who was about to turn 18. Their advice is relevant to all – both young and old, male and female. The following is Bill’s response; BJ’s response will be posted later.

I Became a Man When …

by Bill Rudge

The age of 18 for me covered all the bases: from rebellious teenager, youngest fitness instructor in this area, hitchhiking cross country (in search for what was missing in my life, and hoping it wasn’t Jesus Christ), to being miraculously saved from death in Santa Fe, then returning to Pennsylvania and giving my life to Jesus Christ after all; running away and getting married, and finally, receiving a call to Bible college and ministry – all at the age of 18!

So when did I learn to become a man and what did that mean to me? I thought I was a man through all the physical strength and skills I had or from the wild life I had lived; but anyone can achieve those things. I became a man when I got on my knees and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. Getting married and heading to Bible college with no money made for a rapid maturing process!

Applying the biblical principles I learned in God’s Word really taught me how to be a man; they transformed my life.

Here is a brief summary.

Examine The Evidence for Faith in Jesus – Know what you believe and why you believe it.

Total Commitment to Christ as Lord – His Lordship must supersede everything else in your life.

Obedience to Christ’s Will – Instead of seeking your own will, discover, desire and implement His will.

Be Surrendered and Available So God Can Mold Your Life – Do not stiffen your neck or harden your heart but allow Him to accomplish His purpose for your life.

Evaluate Your Motives – Pride ends in destruction; humility in honor.

Live a Life of Integrity – Your testimony and name are more valuable than precious gold and expensive jewels.

Establish a Balanced Life – Be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually fit.

Exercise Self-Control – Realize that the essence of strength is self-control. Have discipline in every area of life.

Dare to Be Different – Don’t compromise your convictions or conform because of peer pressure. Be a God-fearer rather than a man-pleaser.

Have the Courage to Stand Alone – Courage is not lack of fear but standing your ground in spite of it.

Develop Determination to Never Give Up – You will face many obstacles and challenges but do not quit. If you do fall, get back up and keep going. Remain faithful to the end and I promise that you will one day be richly rewarded.

Root Out Hidden Sins – Your secret sins will find you out and destroy you, but forgiveness and restoration is only a prayer of repentance away.

Desire the Lord More than Anyone or Anything Else – Avoid an endless search by realizing that nothing or no one will satisfy you more than a close relationship with your Creator, Savior and Lord.

Ponder these biblical truths deeply, embrace them thoroughly and review them frequently. You will never regret doing so. The above principles, in harmony with God’s Holy Spirit, will mold you into the man God created you to be!

How Can You Prepare?

by Bill Rudge

There are things coming on this nation and world that will require extraordinary faith, strength, courage, discipline, determination, discernment, integrity, commitment and love to endure. What is coming will affect every facet of your life. So how can you be prepared? My suggestion is to begin immediately to get into the best possible shape – physically, mentally, emotionally, and above all, spiritually.

Now is the time to:

Research Scripture – consistent and intense Bible study, investigation, reflection, and meditation on God’s Word – with special focus on end time prophecy.

Reach the heavenlies through prayer (and fasting if able) using the ACTS acronym: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.

Renew your mind by replacing disturbing and distorted images and messages of the media with that which is beneficial.

Replace negative and destructive emotions such as hatred, bitterness, revenge, lust … with love, joy, peace, self-control (all fruits of the Spirit).

Respect your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, by fleeing immoral behavior and anything else that dishonors the Lord.

Regenerate your health. We are living during stressful times when we need a strong immune system. Instead of overindulging in unwholesome food and unhealthy snacks (which lead to the host of unwanted ailments and diseases that are surging today), substitute “junk food” and “empty calories” with nutritious food the Creator designed you to consume. Instead of sitting around watching television and following social media, get some exercise and proper rest.

Implementing the above, along with God’s Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) will enable you to stand victoriously in these days. The alternative is not very comforting so don’t sit idly by and do nothing – do what God’s Word clearly teaches.

A Call to America!

by Bill Rudge

How long will our flag fly?

America has been the greatest nation in the history of the world. Built upon the principles in God’s Word, she has seemed invincible. Once honoring the LORD, she forsakes and rejects the ways of the One Who has blessed and protected her.

America is hardening her heart to the God of the Bible and enthusiastically embraces beliefs and practices contrary to His nature and will. Accordingly, the testimony of Scripture, the lessons of history, and the witness of God’s Spirit announce America’s inevitable fate – unless she repents.

We must turn from the morally bankrupt path we are pursuing. Instead of following the trends of secular society, the Church must be guided by God’s Word and His Spirit.

Are We Deaf?

Why have we trampled under foot the very Word of God? Are we deaf to God’s calls to repent? Are we too stiff-necked to turn back to the LORD and walk His path before it is too late? Does this generation not realize that the apocalyptic events described in Revelation are on the verge of occurring? As cataclysmic judgments loom at our door, how can we continue this foolhardy course?

Any discerning person can recognize what is happening: America is being methodically attacked and the glory of our beloved country is rapidly diminishing. Under the pretense of protection, U.S. and global citizens are being methodically monitored, strategically controlled, and systematically enslaved. Increasing surveillance and loss of privacy are speeding us toward the reality of Revelation 13 – not being able to buy or sell without a mark on the right hand or forehead.

Are We Blind?

Scripture has proven to be amazingly accurate throughout history and is being fulfilled today. Are we too blind to see that many of these prophesied curses are already being experienced in America for violating God’s laws?
We are facing impending judgment, yet so many have stopped-up ears, blinded eyes, calloused hearts with values too twisted to recognize what is coming.

Although initially written millennia ago for the nation of Israel, Moses’ words are relevant for America today. God promised great blessings for obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Leviticus 26:3-13) and restoration for repentance in violating His Word (Leviticus 26:40-45; Isaiah 1:18, 19). The LORD also strongly warned of harsh consequences for rebellion, disobedience, and the persistent violation of His decrees (Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Leviticus 26:14-39; and Isaiah 1:2-31).

One day America, like Judah, may be invaded, our people humbled and taken captive. One day those who are selling out America and betraying her by actively or passively undermining her historic values will sit in mourning over the loss of our great cities – as the Jews grieved for Jerusalem when they were taken into Babylonian captivity.

I have grave concerns for this nation I love so much. Every Fourth of July for the past several years I have pondered the gradual – sometimes dramatic – changes in America. I see the flag at our ministry center swaying in the breeze and wonder how long it will fly.

The Mark of a Life

BJ Rudge, Ph.D.

The founder of a church which gained worldwide attention because of their protests at the funerals of U.S. soldiers, homosexuals and celebrities, passed away several years ago. While only God can judge this man’s heart, his life did not reflect that of a true follower of Jesus Christ, but a life affected by hatred.

We are called as believers to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19, 20, Acts 1:8). Certainly, in the process of doing this some people will be offended and reject what we say (John 15:18, 19; 1 Corinthians 1:22, 23). However, while we share the truth of God’s Word and who Jesus Christ is, if we do this without love, then as the apostle Paul said, we are nothing more than a meaningless noise like a loud gong or a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1).

Jesus’ life was defined not by hatred but by love. In fact, His love for mankind is what brought Him to this earth to give up His very life setting us free from our sins (John 3:16, 17). This is what drives us in sharing the truth of the Gospel message: love for God and a love for others (Matthew 22:37-39). We should not alienate non-Christians because of their sin (1 Corinthians 5:9-11), but rather seek to lead them to Christ and trust God’s Holy Spirit to clean up their lives.

As Christians we recognize the eternal reality that awaits every single human being who rejects Jesus Christ (John 3:18, 36) and lives a life contrary to His will (Ephesians 5:5). Therefore, if we are to be an effective witness, it will be displayed through selfless acts of love and compassion:

But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27, 28).

From Christian to New Age Spirituality

by Bill Rudge

During a recent flight I sat beside a woman who had graduated from a conservative Christian College where she met her husband. They first attended a Baptist church, then a non-denominational community church for many years. Yet, along with her profession of faith in Jesus and the Bible, she embraced New Age spirituality. I wanted to know why.

Meditation and yoga were the doorways through which her beliefs and practices were completely modified. Diane and her husband no longer attend church because “nature is her sanctuary.” She said she still has encounters with “Jesus” through her meditation and trance channeling. Judgmental people and “negative energy” are something Diane avoids, so if I was going to have an opportunity to share with her, it had to be in a non-confrontational manner. Several times she said how much she enjoyed conversing with me because I was such a positive person and also respectful of her beliefs.

Diane listened intently as I emphasized the uniqueness of Jesus Christ and the amazing credibility of the Bible through examples from history, archaeology and prophecy. She agreed, but went on to say that I was limited by the Bible: by looking within, through meditation, and to spirit beings, through trance channeling, she felt she has tapped into knowledge and experiences that surpass and transcend the Bible. In reality, however, her scope is limited to subjective experiences, while I possess the unfathomable depth and riches of God’s Word with its amazing evidence in backing up its authority and truth. It will take an eternity to discover the magnificence of God and the wonders of the universe He has created!

I asked Diane by what authority she based her beliefs and eternal destiny? She said it was her inner peace from harmony with nature, a love and acceptance of all things (except biblical Christianity) and her experiences with the spirit entities.

“What about those who never heard of Jesus Christ?” Diane asked. I told her, “God is a merciful God who would move heaven and earth to reach anyone who has a desire to know Him. Jeremiah 29:13 says: ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.’” I then shared some accounts of miraculous conversions of Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists and others. “What would God have to do,” I asked, “to convince you that Jesus Christ really is the only way?” Unable (or unwilling) to answer she merely said that her experiences and the spirit guides she encounters through meditation and trance channeling affirm that all ways lead to God.

“Consider the possibility” I stated, “that according to the Bible, the entities you are encountering could be demonic beings who are propagating a deception.” She insisted this was an impossibility because they were so loving and peaceful in her experiences with them. “Besides,” she said, “I am also having encounters with Jesus through my meditation and channeling.” I responded, “The apostle Paul warned about another Jesus…” but she interrupted to say that Paul is negative and judgmental. I retorted that we all have to make judgments every day in the decisions we make concerning what we do or don’t do and what we believe or don’t believe.

I brought up the afterlife and the biblical requirement to enter Heaven. Diane indicated her belief in reincarnation. She will keep coming back until she gets it right just as Jesus was reincarnated several times before He became the Christ. I responded with Hebrews 9:27: “It is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment.” Yet Diane assured me she will see me in heaven, as well as everyone else who believes in peace and unity. I said, “If you are right Diane, I will make it into your Heaven because of my positive faith and lifestyle, but if the Bible is accurate (and I am convinced it is) then those who do not accept God’s provision of salvation through Jesus Christ will be excluded. No wonder Jesus said that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when they realize what they have forfeited.”

In reply she said, “God would never say to anyone, ‘No, no, you can’t enter.’ He will welcome everyone.” So I countered, “Suppose someone walks into your house and decides to move in. You will say, ‘I don’t know you, so please leave!’ Likewise, a righteous and holy God must exclude sin from His eternal Kingdom. Without Christ’s shed blood we all fall far short.” It was ironic that exactly when I said, “The blood of Jesus is our only means of salvation,” she spilled tomato juice all over her lap. As she wiped up the spill with napkins I said, “This will serve as a constant reminder to you that salvation is only through the blood of Jesus Christ.” She smiled squeamishly.

As we reached our destination, we were both amazed how fast time passed, enjoying our conversation for the entire two-hour flight. While she felt the universe brought us together to “expand” my mind and beliefs, I am convinced God put us together for a greater purpose. I pray God’s Spirit draws her back to Jesus Christ – not a New Age Jesus but the Jesus of the Bible. And I do hope to see her again…in Heaven.

The Standard of Leadership

by Bill Rudge

Speaking at a pastor’s conference I asked, “How many of you believe in God? How many of you truly believe the Bible is God’s Word? How many of you really believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead? Enthusiastic affirmation followed each question.

“Then live like you believe it.” I said. “If you really believe in God and Jesus Christ and that the Bible is God’s Word, it should affect every aspect of your life. It should influence the way you live, what you say and what you do!” Sadly, however, the words, beliefs and behavior of many believers and Christian leaders today indicate they do not really believe what they profess.

Repeatedly falling into immorality and harboring secret sins or addictions not only violate scriptural guidelines but disqualifies one for leadership in the body of Christ. While God forgives as Scripture promises: “If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1), every Christian leader needs to review 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:6-9.

God holds leaders to a higher standard. James 3:1 cautions: “Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.” If we assume leadership positions then we must also accept the responsibilities that go with them – as well as the consequences if we fail. True repentance and the fruit of genuine repentance should be visible before restoration to leadership in the body of Christ.

The focus and ultimate goal of every Christian leader’s life and ministry should be, with the help of God’s Spirit, to be conformed to the image (likeness) of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29).
